What did you do this past week?
This past week, for this class, I watched lectures and did in class exercises, studied for and took the quizzes, read the paper, and did the blog. I also worked a lot on understanding and starting the fifth project for this class (Life). I got quite far and I am passing all the HackerRank tests in all 3 sections as of yesterday.
What’s in your way?
Right now, I do not have too much in my way except for projects in other classes and a few tests, but it is not too much.
What will you do next week?
Next week, for this class, I will watch lectures and do in class exercises, study for and take quizzes, read the paper, and do the blog. In the next day or two, I will finish up working on the fifth project for this class (Life). I will create acceptance tests and unit tests, a UML diagram, and finish all the requirements.
If you read it, what did you think of the The Joel Test?
I did indeed read it again because I read it last semester for Software Engineering. I had forgotten some of the things he talked about, and I once again thought it was a very useful test that projects should aim to get perfect scores on.
What was your experience of virtual and dynamic binding? (this question will vary, week to week)
My experience with virtual and dynamic binding was good. The lectures this week were pretty straightforward to me because I have experience with the topics covered.
What made you happy this week?
I am going to one of my favorite restaurants tonight with my friends and yesterday I got mango ice cream with strawberries from Marble Slab, and it was great.
What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
I recently purchased a Lap Desk on sale from Amazon and I think it was a great investment. It is very useful for working on a laptop while sitting on a couch or bed. It helps neck and back pain a lot.
